You know that thing where a publisher goes about something in complete silence, not telling a soul, and then suddenly springs a new book that looks just so damn tasty that you have to click on the cover and find out what it’s all about?
We’ve just returned from great weekend at the Nine Worlds convention! It was a wonderful few days spent meeting other editors, publishers, readers, as well as fans celebrating every aspect of geek culture that you can imagine. We were impressed by the costumes (especially No Face!); humbled by people’s kind comments; inspired by the talks and discussions; heartened by packed rooms of people engaging actively with writers; and quite hungover come Sunday morning.
We are delighted to say that we will be at the upcoming Nine Worlds Convention at Novotel London West in Hammersmith, 12-14 August 2016!
We'll have our stall there so come say hi to George and Gary, and of course pick up some Unsung titles.
Unsung authors will be speaking on panels at Nine Worlds so here's a list of events featuring Oliver Langmead, Ian Hocking and Aliya Whiteley, plus editor George Sandison
Unsung Stories would like to congratulate Kirstin Innes on her Not the Booker Prize win, for her novel Fishnet, which beat Dark Star in a hotly contested competition.
Oliver Langmead, author of Dark Star, will be featured at the Dundee Literary Festival on 22nd October 2015.
We did it! Or more accurately, you did it. That's right, Dark Star is on the shortlist for the Not the Booker award at the Guardian, coming third out of seventy in the voting.
Announcing the official blog tour celebrating publication of Dark Star by Oliver Langmead on 10th March. Science fantasy, hardboiled crime and epic verse. Yes, you read that right.
