Unsung Live 4
Thanks to everyone who came down to Unsung Live 4 last night at The Star of Kings. Fresh off the back of the Nine Worlds convention, it was great to see so many people still up for spending their Tuesday night in a pub listening to speculative short fiction.
That was the Nine Worlds that was
We’ve just returned from great weekend at the Nine Worlds convention! It was a wonderful few days spent meeting other editors, publishers, readers, as well as fans celebrating every aspect of geek culture that you can imagine. We were impressed by the costumes (especially No Face!); humbled by people’s kind comments; inspired by the talks and discussions; heartened by packed rooms of people engaging actively with writers; and quite hungover come Sunday morning.

Seeing the Great God Pan
Fiction at it’s best should be an exploration of occult heritage, and freed from the shackles of strict realism, speculative fiction can really take the ideas and run with them.
The Song Doesn't Remain the Same
It’s no revelation to say contemporary music includes short stories, that the lyrics cast everything from the emotion of a breakup to complete stories. But of particular interest are the ones that cast a complete narrative to song. We’re talking beginning, middle, end stuff.

Gary and George share what they've been reading, including neo-noir, the green man, ghosts, Whistable, a trip to the mountains, mind reading technology and the history of the Guggenheim gallery.
