Thanks to everyone who came down to Unsung Live 4 last night at The Star of Kings. Fresh off the back of the Nine Worlds convention, it was great to see so many people up for spending their Tuesday night in a pub listening to speculative short fiction.
And what short fiction!
Next up with was Eli Lee with her story of love, heartache, memory and the pitfalls of new technologies Everyone was desperate to know how the story ended; you’ll have to ask her.
Rob Boffard, author of the Outer Earth trilogy kicked off the second half with an energetic story about a 93-year-old Chicago superhero, keeping secrets, and how much you can love basketball.
And finally, we were privileged to have the wonderful Angela Slatter (author of excellent books like Sourdough and the new novel Vigil) reading a brand new story, ‘The Red Forest’ – a tale of dressmaking, Baba Yaga, failing hearts and visitors from the forest. It was a perfect end to the evening.
If you enjoyed the event, please spread the word and tell your friends what they missed out on! Our next live event is October 18th so keep an eye on our Meetup page for the lineup announcement.
If you have any photos of the event please tweet us @UnsungTweets – we’d love to see them.
