Oliver Langmead at the Dundee Literary Festival

Oliver Langmead, author of Dark Star, will be featured at the Dundee Literary Festival on 22nd October 2015.

A recent graduate of Dundee University's 'Writing Practice and Study' Masters course, Oliver will be bringing the striking and atmospheric world of Dark Star to audiences as part of the festival which starts on 21st October.

Oliver Langmead and his entirely unique debut, Dark Star, bring our celebration of all things Writing Practice and Study to a close. Oliver was born in Edinburgh, now lives in Dundee and is occasionally seen shouting into a microphone in the name of music. Dark Star was shortlisted for The Guardian‘s Not the Booker Prize 2015.
Tonight he appears before us to tell the story of the city of Vox, a city that survives in darkness, under a sun that burns without light… Compelling and deft wordplay, blending the familiar and the strange: Dark Star is a unique debut, Oliver is one to watch and tonight’s the night to do it.

The event takes place at the Bonar Hall in the University of Dundee on Thursday 22nd October, 6.30-7.30pm. Tickets are free and you can book your place from the Dundee Literary Festival website.
